New Short Story Outline by Me Available for Review

Happy October, everyone. I have a new short story that I started writing notes for a few days ago. I completed the outline for it quickly and am sharing it here for my followers, fans, friends, & family to review– for free. And it’s just in time for a fun, romantic, spooky Halloween this month. It’s light but sad.

“Azure in the Mirror” an original short story coming soon, written by Heather Harmon.

Outline for a new original story by Heather Harmon, entitled “Azure in the Mirror.”
Available for reviewing & enjoyment on my official website https://heatherharmon.net

I. Azure and her 15-year-old son Ember are walking in a nice ornate park, enjoying bonding with one another. Azure has a sip of sparkling wine after she and Ember have a seat in front of the lake. They talk to each other, share food. Around sunset, Azure and Ember are walking to leave the park and get back in their car to go home. After seated in their car, both look up at the sky in the same moment multiple strikes of lightning hit a tree nearby. The next strike hits the car. Rain begins to fall and more lightning with thunder, and Ember’s heart slowly stops beating. He passes away in the passenger’s seat, tearful. Azure knows when her son is dead. All she does is turn the engine off, cry, and hold her son’s dead body closely. Everything outside goes pitch black.

II. Azure awakens in her bedroom, sits up in her bed. It’s not lit or bright but notices the crystal ball with purple lightning set on the floor between her bed and mirror on the wall. Azure excitedly believes it to be a sign or a gift from her son Ember, touches the crystal ball excitedly, but when the purple lightning becomes exacerbated and jumps more at the touch of her palms and fingertips, Azure remembers the events at the park she experienced with her son Ember; then remembers his death. She feels angry, frantic, and more grievous. Screams. Cries. And is then sucked into the mirror with much turbulence. Azure is a spirit, her physical form is nowhere near– she died in her sleep.

III. Upon having been sucked into the mirror in her bedroom, Azure has a feeling of nothing but sadness. She now knows that not only is her son Ember dead, but she is dead as well. “Am I trapped in here?” “Where is my son?” “Please, God! What do I do?” Azure feels a magnetic force surrounding her form from within the mirror. She feels solid to herself. For a quiet moment, Azure stares out from the inside of the mirror and can only see her bed and the crystal ball with purple lightning, hardly visible now and fading from her vision. “It came from inside your body.” – the voice from her spirit guide speaks to her. “It is your life spirit orb.
Use your thoughts. Just move. Go.” Azure wills anything in a quick thought. Suddenly has “jumped” into another mirror that is inside of a room in a mausoleum. She can see white and red lit candles, pink and blue flowers, and wishes she could smell them. Azure next hears a quiet chorus of what sounds like children singing something depressing in an unfamiliar language. Over and over. “My sweet son!” Azure’s thoughts. “Is this happening? Am I even real, God?! Someone! Ember died in front of me!” Azure is crying and looks down at her blue dress and watches her tears wetting her dress at her bosom. “Azure…” the voice of the spirit guide. “Your son Ember was delicate and ill, unbeknownst to the two of you. Cling to your memories of Ember. You cherished him.” – voice of the spirit guide. “Could that be God?!” Azure’s thought. Voice of the spirit guide speaks softly to Azure. “You knew your son Ember so well that you would probably even recognize his skeleton. You might have been able to feel and even hear his heart beating. Dreams might have been shared between the two of you. Azure…” “Where is my Ember?!!” Azure’s thought. Azure is crying. “Azure… leave now.”

IV. “Forgive my soul!!” Azure’s frantic thoughts. “God, please?! I need my son Ember. Why did he die like that in front of me?! Let me out. Ember, I’ll find your spirit. I don’t want for you to be alone, sweetheart. And I don’t want to be alone.” Azure looked at the flowers inside of the crypt at the mausoleum from within the mirror. Almost immediately after she looked, she felt a force from her head latch onto a flower and sucked it inside of the mirror, fell beside her spirit “Azure… if you can take from the other side of the mirror by sight, you can place from within the mirror whatever you choose to the outside. Even a feeling or a wish. Please cling to your pleasant memories of dear Ember.” – the voice from the spirit guide. “Ember, my sweet son! You need me… needed me. I need you too.” Azure’s thought. In a quick moment, Azure finds she has jumped into another mirror and instantly, she can see from within a little boy and his father standing in a room in the sunroom of their home, conversing, laughing, and looking intermittently at their own reflections. Azure’s first thoughts were not worries about the what-ifs of if they could see her inside of the mirror staring at them– but that the little boy looks very similar to her dead 15-year-old son EMBER. So Azure is curious, but displeased because she knows it is NOT her son Ember. Voice from the spirit guide- “Azure… please don’t be mad at him… Azure… MOM… It’s me! It’s just me talking to you. I love you, Mom.” “I love you too, Ember! My baby boy!” Azure exclaims.

V. “Ember! I can hear your voice! So let me see you! I have a form, so you must too! Come, please, sweetheart!” Azure exclaims, knowing the presence of her son will find her. “I’m coming , Mom…” Ember speaks softly. He appears right next to his mother. All they do is embrace each other and cry tears of elation. They both stand together and stare from within the mirror out at the little boy and his father in their sunroom. Sounds of wind, crying, screaming, thunder, and crashes fill the sunroom of the little boy and his father. They start shaking they are so frightened. “Yeah, we know you can see us!” Exclaims Ember. “You are always going to!” Exclaims Azure. “We’re never leaving!” Ember and Azure shout at them. Azure and Ember hold hands, glare at them, and make all the lights in the outside sunroom flicker on and off. The little boy and his father run away screaming.

Holiday Poetry

“Invite My Cherubim”

By Heather Harmon

Where do I belong?

Some place where the sands are red?

Or where the moon shines brightly

In the cold where I’m alone?

I sit across from my reflection…

Share a meal, we’re close.

I have myself.

All alone in the darkness,

I’m in my room

Wanting you

And something more–

The song from the eclipse

In the midnight sky

Is not a comfort.

I’ll keep my purple glow

From the plug-in globe

And invite

My

Cherubim!

My Winter Holiday Greeting For Anyone Sweet

Our Thanksgiving holiday is coming up.

I am so thankful to have a family with my ex-husband; our children are so precious to me & the biggest blessing I have ever received. I loved being pregnant with my sons & I love observing them as the years go by. I love my sons.

I am thankful for justice & I have faith that my precious children will be returned to my heavenly care very soon. Amidst all of the unfair, harmful accusations which social services groups where I live have made against me for no real reason, I KNOW my precious children will be with me again very soon. And then my husband & our children & me can live freely wherever we may choose to live, thrive.

Invention Idea: Tablets Only For Illustrating Digitally with SD Card For Safe, Hacker-Free Saving & Creation with No Internet Connection Wanted

After many ups & downs with my Android devices over the past decade with files and phone usage being unsecured due to wireless internet, bluetooth, & remote viewing with internet, I have created in my mind a new type of deluxe tablet meant for digital illustrators & animators only. I do not intend for this tablet to have internet access or any other feature that would allow for software bugs or data hackers to sabotage artwork creation for me or anyone else. I’m thinking it should be just as reliable as Apple & Android products with only the illustration/painting & animation software included, with compatibility for any type of stylus to be used with it. I want it to have an SD card reader so that files can be saved & uploaded manually to a different computer. That is my idea.

I Lost My Awesome Japanese Bicycle Due to A Vandal

I recently splurged on a beautiful blue, classy Japanese women’s bicycle in order to get around & get some exercise, & to keep my legs strong. I had really been enjoying riding my bike around where I stay during the day, & even in the cold nights. Last night, I went out after dark & rode my bicycle to a nearby convenience store & gas station. I set my bike beside the ice freezer & went inside the store, assuming that no one would steal my bicycle. I even asked the clerk while I was in his store if my bike was still there outside, & he assured me it was (I assumed he could tell based on the security camera feed). When I walked back outside to retrieve my bicycle & to ride it back home, I saw that my bike had been tossed or thrown down onto the ground, and the handles & brakes bar was turned inwardly; I could not turn it back, it was like it had been sealed or welded that way. It was impossible for me to continue riding my bike because of that. So now I have to get a new one. I am mad.

Femme Fatale Fashion Fun October Mommy-Madness Begins

It is October now. My favorite time about October every year is: not only the autumnal bliss that comes with the cooler winds, but also the changing of the leaves colors from green to red, orange, & yellow; the scents of pumpkin & apple cinnamon; tasting apple cider; & my personal mother-&-sons bonding time. The fun, ultra-feminine attire I can put together following my own personal must-have style– whether I am walking alone or I’m with my family & friends– being myself while making a unique fashion statement is what I go for.

This is my selfie from the 1st of October in the year 2022. I use deep, rich red hues in my eye-shadow & lip color to emulate the reddish leaves in the trees outside & to emphasize the gold jewelry on my body, my nail color, & the nice deep black of my eyeliner & hair. I’m so for this boldness.

I personally want to keep testing this makeup look throughout the season until the winter arrives. However, instead of looking cheapish, gaudy, overdone, or too costume for Trick-or-Treat day, I will pair deeper, richer, & darker hues for my pieces making the outfits I choose to style.
